According to the Russian defense Ministry, the photos were taken during tactical exercises involving Russian Marines of the Baltic fleet at the Kaliningrad Khmelevka training ground.
The exercise consisted of landing from two Russian military landing ships of the Zubr class on a hovercraft - "Eugene Kocheshkov" and "Mordovia", and passing an obstacle course.
Russia regularly conducts military exercises in the Kaliningrad region. As reported by TASS, back in August, more than 2,500 soldiers of the Baltic fleet took part in large-scale live-fire exercises on more than 1,500 conventional targets.
