MODEL SPECIFICS

Stun gun ZEUS is produced in three models:: ZEUS-L (length 405mm.), ZEUS-M (length 355mm.), ZEUS-S (length 305mm.). 

CONSTRUCTION

Stun gun ZEUS is structurally made in a shock-resistant case. The supporting component is a heavy-duty glass composite pipe, on which the following parts are placed:

• Handle. Intended for holding the device during exploitation and application. A nut of battery and LED flashlight ZS-L-9 fixation is screwed on the back side of the handle. The nut has a bigger diameter than the handle to provide a sure hold of the device during exploitation and application.
• Guard. Located in the front side of the handle. The guard has: safety fuse, laser switch, laser aiming module, LED indication, ergonomic silicone electroshock discharger activation button, identifier slot (for models ZEUS-L, ZEUS-M), identifier latch (for models ZEUS-L, ZEUS-M), antenna (inner reader-receiver) for registering master-card/identifier (for models ZEUS-L, ZEUS-M), pin slot (for model ZEUS-S), pin latch (for model ZEUS-S).
• Picatinny mounting rail. Picatinny rail is located on the operating section of the weapon and is fixed with special screws. Picatinny rail is intended for mounting additional autonomous devices: military flashlights, cameras, etc. All metal fixation details are made from corrosion-proof steel with covering.
• High-voltage zone. Includes the cartridge lock, control electrodes, working electrodes, anti-grab electrodes, initiation electrodes. All electrodes are made from corrosion-proof steel with covering.

HOLSTER

ZEUS II is completed with a special fixation holster for carrying the device on the belt (width of the belt is not more than 50mm). Construction of the holster doesn`t impede carrying ZEUS II with devices mounted on the Picatinny rail.

Picatinny mounting rail is a rail bracket that is used on the various kinds of firearms to provide unified mounting for aiming units and other devices, including tactical flashlights, laser aiming modules, etc. Military standard MIL-STD-1913 is written and published by the state Picatinny Arsenal, USA. Distributed and used according to the Standardization Agreement. Picatinny rail as a bracket for mounting tactical devices is installed for the first time in tactical electroshock weapon ZEUS II (company OBERON-ALPHA).

CURRENT LOOP

The distance between the combat electrodes is 38mm. – this is the highest parameter among stun batons, which allows to create the largest possible current loop (the path that the discharge takes through a live target).

The distance between the cutting (control) electrodes is 21mm (the length of the visible electric arc of the discharge), so the device is effective when used on a target wearing winter clothing.

REMOTE USE

Stun gun ZEUS can be used remotely:

1. Flashbang cartridges are used for psychophysical effect on a live target or a group of targets.
2. Remote cartridges (KD, KD+) are used for remote use of the stun gun.

To make aiming easier, stun gun ZEUS is equipped with a laser target designator.

SPECIFICS OF BIOLOGICAL INFLUENCE

NEUROMUSCULAR INCAPACITATION

ZEUS II influences an object with the impulses of high frequency that cause neuromuscular incapacitation.ZEUS II transformer system is executed from the high-precision materials and forms an effective contour with the influenced area. The contour transfers the defeat energy from the device to the object as special impulses that block the nervous system. Neuromuscular incapacitation is effective against the aggressors with high pain tolerance level (drug abusers, persons under the stress, prepared and trained opponents who can withstand the influence with pain or can put up a fight despite the pain).

TACTICAL FEATURES OF CONTACT USE

1. A strong restraining and disorienting effect is achieved depending on the area of exposure, the time of exposure, as well as the state of the attacker. It is important to choose the right area of exposure then using the stun gun. It should be as close as possible to the central nervous system of the attacker – to the torso. The most vulnerable points are the neck, groin, solar plexus, heart area, as well as the upper chest and upper thigh.
2. The stun gun is an useful self-defense weapon on the street in the bad weather (strong wind, snowfall, rain), in an elevator, in a car, i.e. in cases when the use of gas weapons or pepper spray is either ineffective or dangerous.
3. It should also be noted that the physical effect of the electroshock discharge is significantly enhanced if the working electrodes of the stun gun are held in close contact with the target. The use of the stun gun unexpectedly for the attacker increases the effectiveness. When using the stun gun, direct physical contact with the offender is allowed: only that part of the attacker's body that is located between the combat electrodes is exposed to high voltage.

Inertia of electroshock perception. All biological objects have varying degrees of inertia for electric shock. Therefore, a short exposure to an electric current for less than 1 sec. even when using powerful electroshock devices may not be enough for a long-term (with a long-lasting effect after the exposure) disorientation or a loss of consciousness. In this case the duration of the exposure should be increased.

The initial effect of exposure (during the first second of exposure) largely depends on the offender's emotional preparedness for exposure. Unexpected use of the weapon significantly increases the effect of the electroshock discharge.

Tracking the movement of the target. One of the fundamental rules for the effective use of a stun gun is to accompany the movement of a live target when using the stun gun against it: the electrodes should be closely pressed to the aggressor's body. Prevent the electrodes from sliding over the target.

HOW TO USE FLASHBANG CARTRIDGES (KSSH) AND REMOTE CATRIDGES (KD, KD+)

How to attach the cartridge to the stun gun (charge the stun gun):

1. Turn the safety fuse of the stun baton ZEUS by turning the fuse counterclockwise till the stop.
2. Direct the face of the cartridge away from yourself.
3. Attach the cartridge with a straight movement from top to bottom until it clicks (until the lock fixes the cartridge).

How to shoot remote cartridges:

1. Take the safety fuse of the stun gun ZEUS off by turning the safety fuse clockwise utill the stop.
2. Direct the face of the cartridge towards the target.
3. Initiate the cartridge. To do this, press the button to turn on the electroshock discharger. To make the aiming process easier, you can turn on the laser target designator.
4. When using remote shooting cartridges that connect the electrodes to the target via wires, after shooting the cartridge, press the button to turn on the electroshock discharger to transmit high-voltage current to the target.
